Lagos State Govt to Redevelop Adeniji-Adele Housing Estate
The Lagos State Government is set to redevelop the Adeniji-Adele Estate Phases I – IV, built over 35 years ago but is now in a deplorable state.
The General Manager, Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA), Mr. Lateef Sholebo, who disclosed this recently, said the State Government has concluded the plan to invite Investors and Consortium of Developers to redevelop the entire15.54 hectares of land into a multi-storey housing estate with a decent environment suitable for living.
Sholebo explained that the State Government’s equity contribution to the redevelopment project is the contribution of the15.54 hectares parcel of land on which the Estate is situated, while investors are expected to provide funding for redevelopment into residential, commercial and institutional precincts with open spaces for recreation of the residents.
While noting that the Government, through LASURA, will provide guidelines and detailed technical brief on the project for the investors, the General Manager said existing allottees will be resettled or given alternative accommodation.
