Lagos Island LGA Flags off Road Construction
The Lagos Island Local Government Area has flagged-off the construction of Sanusi Olusi and Agarawu Streets as part of efforts by the State Government to fulfill its pledge to the people at the grassroots as well as tackle the traffic gridlocks on Lagos Island. Speaking at the flag off ceremony held last week at Sanusi Olusi Street, Oke-Arin, the Executive Secretary of the Council, Prince Adetoyese Olusi stated that the two major roads slated for construction in the Local Government are part of the 114 roads project recently approved by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for immediate construction in the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas in the State. He pointed out that the road construction project, which is line with the overall vision of Governor Ambode for the State, would not only meet the needs of the masses but will enhance commercial activities in all benefitting communities after completion.
