The IIBC is being developed by the Elegushi Royal Family and Channeldrill Resources Limited, promoting the 200-
hectare estate as the first self-sustaining smart city in Africa.
According to the Chief Operating Officer, Channeldrill, Mr. Femi Akioye, the promotion is borne out of the vision of the monarch, Oba Saheed Elegushi, to make the new estate an all-inclusive new Lagos city.
“This is not a city where only the rich can live, it is the vision of the Elegushi Royal Family that everybody both rich and poor will have a stake in the new city we are building. No matter your status in the society, we want to give you an opportunity to live in the IIBC and have a taste of a better life, that is why the promo ticket is sold for only N500,” he said.
The star winner, Saheed, is the first winner of the IIBC promo, while other winners of the draw include Aina Williams from Ile Oluji, Ondo State, who won N1 million; Fakorede Olatunji Saheed from Ibadan, Oyo State, Owosho T. Victoria from Osogbo, Osun State, Samson Saanu from Sango Ota, Ogun State and Olufemi Folorunsho all won N500,000 each.
The Marketing Manager, Golden Chance Lotto, Mrs. Peju Akinbiyi, said their platform is being used for the promotion to enable members of the public be part of the project.
“Golden chance Lotto provide the platform where people can get the tickets, they don’t have to go to the bank to purchase it, all they have to do is to walk up to any of our agents along the streets where our POS are available, or visit our website,” she added.
Overwhelmed, Saheed said he never knew he would win the plot of land, adding that he just played the lottery without any expectation.
