THE MAIN REASON REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT CAN BETTER YOUR LIFE
The term “rat race” is usually associated with a select amount of people striving for a large goal. In reality, life is very much a long and drawn out rat race in the minds of many. It’s all about living for tomorrow, getting more so that the next day they can live well.
Another reality is that this day where everything will be fine and perfect because you made millions and can live comfortably is likely never to come.
This is especially true in the world of real estate. Even the biggest moguls still try to get richer, looking for ways to make money well into their golden years. Yes, some of this is family minded, but a lot of this logic stems from the constant need and drive to make more, more, more. Because their lives are so focused on success, they’re afraid of failure and disadvantageous situations, meaning they aren’t focused on leading a happy life.
If you’re living life without this goal in mind of it being a happy one, what’s the point? After all, time isn’t endless. What you do with it today matters.
The main goal is to have your cake and eat it too – live comfortably without having to sacrifice your time and happiness to do so. You want to be able to go on vacations every year, sweating because you’re soaking up the sun, not because of your nervousness over how you can actually fit this splurge into your budget.
This is where real estate investment comes in. Investment is simple and can be relatively painless if you’re smart and financially savvy. There are risks involved, yes, but these risks are mitigated. Plus, would you rather take a chance doing something simple and effective, or try so hard you’re basically a shell of your former self slaving away at a nine-to-five job for the rest of your life?
What people are truly looking for in working so much is consistent income – a paycheck coming in every week, or the equivalent of that in their bank account. Say you work until you’re 65 and you live to be 85. If you started working at 16, do you honestly think you’ll have enough money to live off of for 20 years when that’s over a third of your working life? Retirement is costly, and many don’t think about how pricey it truly is.
Now think about working 20 years while investing in real estate. If you play your cards right, your ability to retire and live comfortably is looking a lot better. In fact, real estate investment can make sure that not only are you able to retire, you can thrive during your golden years.
But then you can also take retirement out of the equation. You can maybe live solely off of investing in your older years, but what can that kind of extra income do for you right now? Maybe you can take those trips you always wanted to, or get that dream job that wasn’t a realistic option if you wanted to ever support a family.
Don’t both of those options sound better than slaving away at a job with no actual security of seeing a paycheck every week when you aren’t employed?
