Lands Bureau Received Multiple Awards as Best Government Agency

The Lagos State Lands Bureau has been named the Best Government Agency at two seperate award ceremonies organised by the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers and City People Magazine in Lagos recently.

During the award ceremonies, the Permanent Secretaty, Lands Bureau, Mr. Bode Agoro thanked the organisers for recognising the sterling perfomance the Bureau and attributed it to the recent reforms  that have culminated into improved performance as well as smooth delivery of services to members of the public.



Agoro affirmed that the Bureau was orientated in tune and in sync with the views and aspirations of His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

“He has given us clear guidelines as to how he wants the Bureau to be administered and to be run. Zero tolerance to corruption. Zero tolerance to laziness. We have a motto; Professionalism, Discipline and Integrity, and that’s how we run the Ministry” he said.

The Permanent Secretary alluded to the fact that the present administration, in full appreciation of the role the Bureau plays in its drive to rapid urbanization of the State, has put in place effective and dynamic reforms to continuously ease the process of Land Administration in the State.

He noted that inspite of the challenging global financial crisis today, the Bureau has generated over 20 billion Naira this year and surpassed its total revenue performance for last year.

He assured that the ongoing reforms in every area of the Bureau’s processes will result in fully automated processes that will eradicate all problems previously identified with collection of title deeds and other activities of the Bureau .
